Professor Zhang Qi has long been engaged in the field of forming manufacturing technology and equipment research, serves as an expert of 14th Five-Year "Additive Manufacturing and Laser Manufacturing" projects and the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society of Plasticity Engineering Branch. He was selected by the Shaanxi Province, Sanqin Talent Special Support Program for scientific and technological innovation and leading talent project. He has published more than 120 scientific papers, 31 papers in top international journals, with more than 1800 citations; published one monograph, participated in the publication of three monographs and approved 148 invention patents. As the person in charge, he has been approved for more than 10 national projects, such as 173 key projects of the Military Science and Technology Commission, key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key science and technology projects of Shaanxi Province, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. First, He put forward the theory of force-saving and nearly uniform forming and explored the law of metal flow under complex loading conditions. Second, he invented a new technology of high-performance forming of complex shaft parts and developed a series of precision rotary forging equipment with independent intellectual property rights. Finally, he invented laser additive and subtractive hybrid precision manufacturing technology and developed high-precision laser selective melting additive and subtractive hybrid manufacturing equipment with five-axis. The relevant achievements have broken the technology monopoly of Germany FELSS and Japan Sodick Company, solved the bottleneck problems of forming and manufacturing complex components in the fields of aerospace, new energy automobile, etc. The total sales of the equipment is more than 450 sets, which are exported to 6 countries in Europe and the United States. The results have been transformed into new output value of 652 million yuan, and won three provincial and ministerial awards.
