Dr. Yujiang Fan is a professor in College of Biomedical Engineering, Sichuan University, and the vice director of National Engineering Research Center for Biomaterials. His research interests focus on bone/cartilage/soft tissue regenerative biomaterials and advanced manufacturing technologies for biomaterials. He has been undertaking multiple national and local governmental Key R&D projects, published over 200 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals of biomaterials, including Nat Commu, Adv Mater, ACS Nano, Adv Fun Mater, Biomaterials, Bioact Mater, and obtained 50+ Chinese inventions patents and 2 Japanese patents. He has developed chondrogenic inducing hydrogels, 3D-pringting bioceramics implants, and several other medical devices. He won multiple Science and Technology Progress Award from Ministry of Education and Sichuan Province, as well as the National Teaching Achievement Award. He serves as a Council member of Chinese Society for Biomaterials, and the chair of the Bone Repair Materials Division, as well as board-member of more than 10 national academic organizations.
