【Bio】

Vishwanath has over 17 years of experience at GE HealthCare in Research & Development of Medical devices at John F. Welch Technology Center, Bangalore. He is currently Principal Engineer and Value segment Platform Leader for Computed Tomography (CT).

Overall he has 19 years of Industry Experience. He has 14 US patents, one White paper and several publications. He is certified DFSS six sigma green belt.

He owns and manages Value Segment CT platform and envisions the architecture and defines product roadmap for CTs, influencing their future in terms of robustness, affordability and clinically superior imaging performance. He also works with global teams in US, China, Japan, and Israel to support businesses.

He and his team has launched several CT products in Value segment market like Revolution ACTs, NuC Med CT and Revolution Aspire.

He pioneered and implemented first Metal 3D printed assembly (Powder bed fusion process) into production in medical device, first of its kind in world. He has developed several Additive parts in medical device application.

He leads Additive technology across businesses at GE Healthcare India, by collaboration with several key strategic partners across Europe, Americas and few Universities globally and locally.

Over several years, Vishwanath has been leading, coaching and inspiring numerous engineers and interns for their career progression in various engineering domains.

He holds Master’s degree in Mechanical Design and Analysis from MIT, Manipal.
