Sun Yong is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the National   Engineering Research Center for Biomaterials and the School of Biomedical   Engineering, Sichuan University. He has received support from the National   Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and   Development Program, the Sichuan Province Natural Science Foundation, the   China Association for Science and Technology and the Chengdu Rongcheng Talent   Program.

His research mainly focuses on the multi-level micro-nano assembly   structure design of bone matrix elements, exploring their tissue inductivity,   immunomodulatory properties, and the interaction mechanisms with stem cells.   He has successively led 9 projects funded by the National Natural Science   Foundation of China and key research and development projects, as well as   over ten other provincial and ministerial-level projects as well as enterprise   projects. He initiated and serves as the director of the Sichuan   University-Huanuotai Biotech "Novel Immune Adjuvant" Joint   Laboratory. In the past five years, he has published over 60 SCI papers as   the first or corresponding author in journals such as Nature Nanotechnology,   Nature Communications, Science Advances, and Advanced Materials. He holds 24   patents as the first inventor. He also serves as the associate editor of   Biomaterials Translational and is the secretary of the Bone Repair Materials   and Devices Branch of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials and a member of   the Burn and Trauma Wound Repair Materials Branch. Additionally, he is a   member of the Youth Committee of the Tissue Repair and Regeneration Branch of   the Chinese Medical Association.
