Wang Chao Ph.D., Professor, and Ph.D. Supervisor，School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering, Beihang University Professor Wang Chao has long been dedicated to the basic research and clinical translation of oral and craniofacial diseases based on biomechanics and additive manufacturing. He has presided over 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 projects by the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, 2 projects under the Foreign Expert Program of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and key research and development programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, among others. Relevant research achievements have completed First-in-Man (FIM) clinical trials in Grade A tertiary hospitals such as the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology, Wuhan University School and Hospital of Stomatology, and Chongqing Medical University Affiliated Stomatological Hospital.
He has been awarded the First-Class Award of Natural Science from the Ministry of Education and the Third-Class Award of Science and Technology from the Chinese Stomatological Association, among other provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards. He has published more than 70 international SCI papers, holds 24 authorized patents, and has led or participated in the formulation of 15 standards.
Professor Wang serves as a communication review expert for the NSFC, a member of the Advanced Manufacturing of Biomaterials Branch and the Materials Biomechanics Branch of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials, an expert for the Additive Manufacturing Medical Devices Professional Committee of the China Medical Device Industry Association, and a member of the Medical Additive Manufacturing Professional Committee of the China Medical Equipment Association.
