【Bio】

Cao Yi is a Researcher at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center of Rapid Manufacturing Technology (Ministry of Education) and has been honored as an Entrepreneurial Leading Talent under Shaanxi Province's "Special Support Program."

His research primarily focuses on innovative processes, methodologies, and applications of Additive Manufacturing (AM), with a particular emphasis on high-performance polymer materials. His scholarly contributions have earned him several prestigious accolades, including the First Prize for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements from the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) Science and Technology Award in 2024.

Professor Cao has spearheaded numerous high-level initiatives, including National Defense Frontier Innovation projects, Equipment Development Department (EDD) basic pre-research projects, and key core technology breakthrough programs in Shaanxi Province. He has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers, filed more than 40 invention patents, and led or contributed to the formulation of various national, industrial, and group standards for Additive Manufacturing.

Additionally, he serves as a committee member for the Additive Manufacturing divisions of both the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the China Society of Special Care and Machining, and is a key member of the Shaanxi Provincial Additive Manufacturing Industry Chain Working Group.
