【Biography】
He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Deputy Director of the Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory of Oral & Maxillofacial Development and Regeneration. He concurrently serves as Deputy Secretary-General of the Additive Manufacturing Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), Council Member of the CMES Special Machining Branch, Technical Committee Member of the Shanghai Engineering Technology Research Center for Complex Metal Additive Manufacturing, and Academic Committee Member of the Key Laboratory of Aeronautical Additive Manufacturing. He is also a co-founder of the China Young Scientists Forum on Additive Manufacturing. Having led over 30 national, provincial, ministerial, and industrial research projects—including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program, and projects under the National Aero-engine and Gas Turbine Special Project—he conducts research in Additive Manufacturing and Near-Net-Shape Forming via Isostatic Pressing. His work has directly supported critical national endeavors such as large aero-engine development and hypersonic vehicle R&D, with select achievements commercialized through technology transfer. His scholarly contributions include authoring/co-authoring 4 monographs and 8 textbooks, publishing over 150 papers, and obtaining more than 30 invention patents. His honors include the 2024 Hubei Natural Science Award (Second Class; first recipient), the 2016 Hubei Technology Invention Award (First Class; second recipient), and five additional provincial/ministerial first or second-class awards.
