TCT Asia 2026: The Ultimate Visitor's Guide

The world's addictive manufacturing supply chain is converging in Shanghai this March.

As the leading 3D printing trade show in China, TCT Asia has evolved from a showcase of prototypes into a hub for industrial production. This year, we are welcoming over 550 exhibitors and an expected 35,000+ professional visitors to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC).

Whether you are a local engineer or an international buyer flying in for the first time, navigating a show of this magnitude requires a plan.

This is your ultimate guide to surviving and thriving at TCT Asia 2026.

Quick Facts (Don't Miss Details)

Before you book your flight, mark these essentials in your calendar.

The International "Survival Kit"

For our overseas friends, traveling to China in 2026 is easier than you think—but you need the right digital tools. Here is how to navigate the 3D printing trade show China ecosystem like a local.

1. Visa-Free Entry is Here

Great news for global travelers: China has expanded its visa-free policies.

2. Payment: Go Cashless

Forget cash. Credit cards are rarely accepted at small stalls or taxis.

3. Internet: The "eSIM" Hack

Don't rely on roaming or public Wi-Fi verification codes. It is recommended to buy an eSIM (like Holafly or Airalo) before you land. Choose a plan that includes VPN-like routing so you can access Google, Gmail, and LinkedIn seamlessly while in Shanghai.

Transportation & Accommodation Strategy

The NECC is massive. Choosing the wrong entrance can result in a 1.5km walk before you even reach the show floor.

·         Best Entrance: West Hall (West Entrance). This entrance connects directly to Hall 8.1 and is steps away from Hall 7.1, putting you instantly in the core exhibition area.

·         Metro Strategy (Avoid Line 2): Most visitors take Metro Line 2, leading to massive congestion at the East Entrance.

o    Smart Move: Take Metro Line 17 to Zhuguang Road Station.

o    Why: It is located on the west side of the venue, just a 5-10 minute walk to the West Entrance, completely bypassing the crowds.

·         Taxi Tip: Tell your driver to go to "Gate 6 on Zhuguang Road" to avoid getting stuck at the main East Gate traffic jam.

Accommodation

Shanghai is huge. Staying in "downtown" (The Bund) means a 1-hour commute to the show. We strongly recommend staying near the Hongqiao Hub.

Official Partner Hotels:

We have secured special rates with hotels near the venue, including the InterContinental Shanghai NECC (walking distance) and others in the Hongqiao area.
