【Biography】
Dr Carrison K.S. Tong finished his PhD in Medical Imaging at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Imperial College, UK. Dr. Tong is a fellow member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers and professional member of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers, Chartered Engineer and Scientist. He has published more than forty papers in the area of medical imaging and modelling.
Dr. Tong has built various medical imaging networks and 3D Printing service for different specialties including Medical Department, Surgical Department, Nuclear Medicine Departments, Radiology Departments, Neurosurgery Departments, Ear Noise Throat Department, Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery Department, and Oncology Department for research, surgical and treatment purposes. Since 2006, Dr Tong has won 1 WITSA Award, 3 APICTA Awards, 9 Hong Kong Information and Communication Technology Awards including 2 Grand, 5 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze awards. In Hong Kong Institute of Engineers, Dr Tong also has won 2 Grand Awards in 2021 and 2023.
