Shijie Qi, Ph.D., Associate Researcher
Shijie Qi, Ph.D., Associate Researcher, is Deputy Director of the Additive Manufacturing Center at Beihang University Ningbo Innovation Institute and Vice Chair of the Casting Branch of the Ningbo Mechanical Engineering Society.
His research focuses on additive manufacturing process simulation, structural topology optimization, and composite structural design. He has collaborated with multiple mold and new energy vehicle companies in Zhejiang Province. His research on the design and manufacturing of large-scale die-casting molds has been featured by CCTV and other media outlets and received the Second Prize of the Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Award.
He also led the independent development and manufacturing of a bamboo-based composite drone, which successfully completed its maiden flight and was widely reported by People's Daily and other media outlets.
